Sonoran Sewing is offering Home Decor Workshops that focus on small group networking and hands-on experience. Fabricate and take home beautiful samples from each workshop.

Sonoran Sewing Experience teaches professional custom sewing methods used in high-end workrooms across the country to those who sew for their own homes as well as professionals in the industry. Considering a career change why not a new career in the Custom Home Decor Industry!

Dining Room Chairs, Ugly Chairs, Outdoor Chairs
Hands-On Class 8am-12pm
Cost: $55 Material Fee $10
Dress up Dining Chairs, Parsons Chairs, Folding Chairs, and Bar Stools  Karen will show you how to sew simple slipcovers for your furniture.  You will learn Decorating and Sewing techniques to dress up your home in just a few short hours.  You will need to bring your sewing machine with zipper foot, your chair (if flying in we will provide a chair for class)
You will have the opportunity to sew and finish a slipcover.

Cushions for Window Seats, Slipcovers and Outdoor
Furniture.. Hands-On Class 1pm-5pm
Class Fee $55 Material Fee $10
In this class you will learn how to make a "dynamite" cover for your cushion.  Karen will be teaching cushions covers for existing cushions, new foam, spring - down cushions, and outdoor cushions.

You will learn about different tyes of cushion fills.  Bring a straight edge, sharp scissors and photos of your cushions or actual cushion.

Bed skirts are a standard part of the bedding ensemble. A lined, custom bed skirt is the finishing touch that enhances your beautiful bed duvet. Bedding is the focal point in room, there is nothing finer than custom bedding. Learn several ways to fabricate bed skirts. calculate yardage, measure a bed for custom fitted bed skirt.

Designer Pillows

Learn the techniques for making decorator pillows with a self-welt cording, invisible zipper closure. Claudia will also show trims and other interesting ideas for High-end Custom Pillows. This class will be a foundation for other decorator pillow classes.  Bring sewing machine, zipper foot, bobbins.

Flanged Pillow Shams, Flanged Euro Pillows
Hands-On Class 12 pm to 4pm
Class Fee $65 Material Fee $10
Learn to sew flanged shams with mitered corners and a corded inset in center of sham, and invisible zippers. Your sham will be interlined and lined with a padded flange.  This is an advanced workshop!
